This is a big news for opensource. Citrix will be buying XenSource. XenSource is the developer of the opensource Xen Hypervisor which provides virtualization on top of Linux, comparable to that of VMWare. Xen is bundled in RHEL 5 and SLES10/SLED10/OES2 and has install packages for various flavors of Linux.
