Who says calls are private nowadays? No less than the FBI has installed a
complex network of eavesdropping systems all over the US (and might even be
around the world), to sift through all the voice, data, and SMS
communications from virtually most phone providers, cellular providers,
etc...

I think this is another complement to an erstwhile long-known data sifting
project known as "Project Echelon" (no data packet was left unturned with
this one. An Echelon node can be found in New Zealand, just a tip).
