what interface is bridged? the wired interface? or a wireless interface?

last time i looked, linux could not bridge wireless interfaces (or at least
all the wireless interfaces i tried, 3 different chipsets). so don't do that.
you can bridge wired interfaces, but bridging wireless is more likely
to not work than to work (i've never heard of it working, although
i wouldn't be surprised if it can be made to work for some popular
chipsets).

go NAT. talk to eric. i made him a firewall script that works with
NAT. good to learn iptables anyway. you'll need to customize eric's
script a bit. generally, where to do that is obvious. if it isn't, ym me
and we can look at how to get it working on your computer.
