I do have one problem though; I don't have a personal computer at home. The
year and a half I spent at the course (my apologies to the previous statement I
made which was spending 2 years in the course) was all done with me spending a
lot of time at internet cafes and my cousin's house just to find a computer to
work with. But in spite all that, I still made it in class and passed my
projects on the deadline. Was it luck or grace, that I don't know. I guess I'll
be doing the same stuff again this coming school year. But I will find ways to
get through all this.

It's okay dude, as long as you have the passion for practicing it.Me too, when
I was in 1st year and 2nd year. All I had was a Jurassic Park Laptop (with no
disk drive. yes, diskette pa uso before.), and a magical cd drive which
sometimes read and sometimes not. Whenever my teacher (paging sir Jessie
Lagrosas) in first year gives out exercises or projects, I would do it in that
laptop. And after receiving a message "Compiler Error: 0" and when the program
is already working. I would rewrite the entire code in a yellow paper and then
encode it afterwards during laboratory time. If there's a will, there's always
a way. Fortunately for me, during 2nd sem in my 2nd year, my bro managed to
borrow/acquire a PC (courtesy of sir Tiger. hehe.). It's not that fast though
but it's already a blessing for me to have a PC at home and work with my
projects. :-)

Balance your theory and practice. CS theories normally aren't appreciated by
students but when you graduate in college you definitely need it. Most job
examinations from companies require lots of CS theories.

Good luck.
