the important thing (i think) is choice. people must have options in
choosing what OS will suite their needs. the idea of
having-an-OS-that-will rule-all-OSes does not make any sense at all.
so, the "better-looking" linux that Shuttleworth is talking about is
not intended to replace Mac OS X but it is intended to be just another
option - at least that's how I understand what he's trying to say at
OSCON.
