Know RPG, but zero on COBOL. :) Actually you can have your variables start with any letter you like. But your custom programs (depending on the type of program) would have to start with certain letter or letter combination. This is to ensure that your program won't get overwritten in an upgrade just in case SAP happens to like the name that you like to name your custom program. There's a downloadable trial version of SAP Netweaver AS (Application Server) ABAP you can download from SDN (sdn.sap.com) that you can use to learn ABAP. Just the ABAP workbench, though. Modules like Sales and Distribution, Financial Accounting, etc. are not included (for obvious reasons). -- Carl _________________________________________________ Kagay-Anon Linux Users' Group (KLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (http://lists.linux.org.ph/mailman/listinfo/klug) Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
