  Tips.
  1.) Check the log files.
  2.) Verify File Integrity (Binaries, Config Files and etc.)
  3.) For DOS Attacks:
     a.) Limit user process to prevent "fork bombing"
     b.) Protect your box from springboard attacks (ICMP, ping
         broadcast and etc)
     c.) Prevent overloading of the kernel route cache (spoofed packet
         attacks)
