Description:
I have observed a significant degradation in the user interface (UI) and user
experience (UX) between KMyMoney version 5.1-3218 and the current version
5.2-4526. The interface in version 5.2 generally appears less aesthetically
pleasing ("ugly") and exhibits graphical problems compared to the previous
version.
Affected Versions:
Previous Version (reference): 5.1-3218 (more pleasant interface and
better-adjusted reports)
Current Version where the issue is observed: 5.2-4526
Operating System: Ubuntu 25.04
Specific Problems Observed:
Reports (in particular): The column adjustment and overall presentation of
reports (such as investment reports) are poorer in version 5.2. Columns may
appear less well-spaced or aligned, making reading less enjoyable.
General Interface Appearance: The overall impression is that the 5.2
interface is "uglier" and less polished than 5.1. This potentially includes
icons, spacing, or visual consistency.
Graphical Bugs: Visual bugs are present, affecting the cleanliness of the
display. (If you have specific examples like "poorly rendered shadows,"
"distorted fonts," etc., you can briefly add them here, otherwise the general
description is sufficient).
Expected Behavior:
The KMyMoney interface should be consistent, aesthetically pleasing, and
functional. Reports should be well-adjusted and legible, as they were in
version 5.1-3218. Particular attention should be paid to the general aesthetics
and the absence of graphical bugs.
