As far as I know, the only search bar at all like that is in the Ledgers View (which is what you are showing) and only if you hit Ctl-F. However, it appears at the bottom of the ledger, not the top. What happens if you do hit Ctl-F? It "should" show the search bar at the bottom, with a Status Filter dropdown at the right of the search box.
