I just tried that being careful to select the file type in the combo box to be .anon.xml and it saved such a file using a KMyMoney 5.1.3-eef04f1 (dated Fri May 3 18:30:48 2024). I provided a name without any dots. Maybe, you can try creating the anon file with 5.1.3 again.
