we agree that the wording of log messages is not fortunate enough. We
will think how to improve this. Some suggestions are welcome.
In the case of DDNS I would have liked to see more detail (at least at
info or debug levels); somewhat along what BIND logs, maybe?

However, in version 2.8.4, we implemented "DS push", which does exactly
what you asked for.
It does *exactly* what I asked for, indeed.
It's mostly intended for the case when the operator also owns the
parent zone (possibly even on the very same server).
That's my use case.
