Job title : Java Developer
Location : Orlando, FL
Contract Length : 6months
Job Description:
. A- Team player with excellent communication skills.
Knowledge and Experience Needed
. A- Minimum depth of 5 years technical knowledge in Java development,
design and deployment.
A- 2+ years experience in developing enterprise software using J2EE
technologies using SOA models.
A- Solid experience with mid-tier development using Java script (client &
server), servlet, struts, server-side Java beans and hibernate
A- Hands-on experience with system integration technologies such as Web
Services, JAX-WS, SOAP, XML/XSD/XSLT
A- Knowledge of SQL and one or more relational databases such as Oracle,
SQL Server
A- Excellent object-oriented design & programming skills, including the use
of UMLand design patterns.
A- Experience in all phases of the application software lifecycle (SDLC) -
requirements, design, development and testing.
A- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
B-Development experience with Windows and UNIX (i.e. Linux, Solaris)
B- Government and/or tolling industry experience desired.
B- High-volume transactional processing, Oracle, J2EE, EAI experience.
B- Implementation experience in a 24/7/365 development environment.
B- Sun Certifications in J2EE/Java
C- Oracle 9i & 10g experience advantagious
C- Experience with Sun Application Server (JES) advantagious
Responsibilities
. Assist Business Analysts with requirements clarification.
. Participate in JAD sessions.
. Present Application Design documents tailored to meet specific
project requirements
. Develop prototypes and/or test scenarios, where appropriate.
. Deliver project implementation to specified standards and
following all methodology and coding guidelines
. Participate in testing, delivery and initial support of projects
to ensure a successful handoff to support staff
. Recommend to IT management changes to improve development
process.
Measures of Performance
. Evaluation from Project Managers on timely delivery of assigned
tasks
. Evaluation from Functional Manager on overall work quality and
effectiveness in the workplace
. Feedback from Design and Code reviews
. Customer satisfaction measures
. Satisfying or exceeding requirements development schedules and
quality goals
Education and certifications
. Relevant Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience, degree in
Computer Sciences preferred.
