Job description: Job: Sr. COGNOS BI Resource/ Developer Location: FL Duration: 3+ months contract ******** Experience with Cognos Decision Stream OR Cognos 8 Data Manager is MUST ********* Job Description 1. Database design and data stream troubleshooting experience required. 2. Experience moving data out of and into accessing Oracle9, MSSQL, and DB2 databases utilizing an ETL tool (Cognos DecisionStream or Informatica preferred). 3. Proficient with accessing data in Oracle, TOAD, implementing data solutions utilizing PL/SQL. 4. Experience developing data warehouse solutions, and knowledgeable with data warehousing/data mart concepts. 5. Windows and UNIX scripting preferred. 6. Proficient with relational and dimensional modeling techniques and tools (ERWIN preferred). 7. Proficient in developing and executing test plans based on system and validation requirements. 8. Client facing / consulting skills, such as the ability to work with the business partners to translate business requirements into potentially complex technical solutions that meet or exceed those business needs. 9.
