Location: Philadelphia, PA Duration”:3-6 Months Skills Needed --------------- HTML CSS XHTML Ajax Javascript * Expertise with using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for stylizing content mainly for fonts, colors, background colors and images. * Familiarity with calling JavaScript functions from HTML. For example, using onclick attributes on HTML elements. * Experience taking someone else*s visual designs in Adobe Photoshop format and implementing the design using HTML and CSS. Ideal Candidate * Ability to create *tableless* layouts using HTML and CSS. This is * Strong command of Photoshop for graphic production and web development tasks. This is knowing when to use GIF, JPG, and PNG formats, and creating transparent images. (Regular experience with creating client-side image maps is a plus.) * Comfortable using a source control system like PVCS for team/parallel development. * Conceptual understanding of how and why you separate code for division of labor by externalizing JavaScript and CSS code. * Understanding of how to optimize HTML for search engines (SEO) and generally accessibility using *semantic web* concepts.
