Job Title:
Systems Administrator Level-II
High Level Job Description:
Implements support processes, including hardware, software, and
communications for server platforms. Responsible for monitoring, managing,
and tuning the underlying hardware and operating system in a production and
test environments. While this is typically a employee from the Client
company, in outsourced or new installations, it could be an Company's or
contract employee. Experienced as a systems programmer 2 - 4 years.
Experienced in dealing with hardware issues - 3 years. Experienced in
operations. Ability to read technical manuals. Ability to experiment with
arcane procedures. Interface with operations, systems programming, help
desk, DBAs, and application development. Interface with vendor support
organization.
Job Description:
The Primary responsibility of this positions is to learn the Automated
Storage/Retrieval System (AS/RS) and become the primary support and
development analyst for this critical Priority 1 application.The role will
involve understanding the vendor package as well as the interfaces to new
and Legacy sysstems, owning the testing and implementation of any enterprise
technology upgrades,working with the Business to implement systems
enhancements,troubleshooting the end users.
Accountabilities and Measures
Learn the AS/RS system and become the primary support and development
analyst
Work closely with vendors the Business and internal and external IT teams to
test and implement system changes and upgrades
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Support end-user and Business Partners
Requirements
Excellent toubleshooting skills
Intermediate Window Server 2003 knowledge
Intermediate SQL knoowledge
Intermediate UNIX knowledge
Expeience with
oracle databases and stored procedure coding
Sybase databases and stored procedure coding
UNIX scripting
Working with external software Vendors
REQUIRED Skills
Citrix
