Title: Data Modeler w/ Telecommunications Bill rate: $55/hr Location: Bellevue, WA 98006 Duration: 12/7/09 Our Client is seeking a Lead Data Modeler with a minimum of 7 years experience in the field, 4-5 of which are in the Telecom domain. Must have strong experience leading and consulting data modeler teams. Extensive experience and specialization in ETL processes and a comprehensive understanding of Data Warehouse Architectures is highly desirable. This position demands competence in a highly visible and challenging environment. Position calls for onsite (local resident in Seattle, WA) resource. Skills/Experience: ¨ Minimum of 7 years full life cycle experience building Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence solutions using Business Objects XI and Crystal Reports from design through production support ¨ Significant industry expertise and knowledge of architectures for data warehouse, business intelligence and operational data ¨ Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with Teradata 6.2 ¨ Significant experience in Data Modeling for Telecom domain ¨ Demonstrated use of best practices for Data Modeling design and implementation ¨ Define and make recommendations for Data Architecture as part of the Technical Architecture, Solution Architecture, and Security Architecture ¨ Business, Logical and Physical Data Model Design ¨ Design Principles and Best Practices ¨ Architecture Strategy for Data Integration, Data Sourcing, Data Governance, Data Security, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Performance and Archival, Information Dissemination ¨ Minimum 7 years of experience with Informatica ETL in design and development capacity (need to currently use Informatica) ¨ Must have a comprehensive understanding of Data Warehouse Architecture concepts and technologies ¨ Proficient in optimizing performance using Informatica PowerCenter ¨ In depth understanding of data profiling, data modeling, entity-relationship modeling and dimensions modeling ¨ Extensive background in SQL PL/SQL programming, mainly Oracle 9i/10g stored procedures, triggers, packages specifically geared toward the transformation and loading of schema ¨ Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with Teradata 6.2 ¨ Experience using SQL Navigator and TOAD 6.2 preferred ¨ Experience in performance tuning queries and optimizing Informatica PowerCenter workflows ¨ Expertise in the analysis of business processes, workflow, data mapping and cross-data integration in complex data warehouse environments ¨ Extensive experience transforming business requirements into technical specifications and source-to-target mappings Key Deliverables: ¨ Develop Business Data Models– performed with Erwin tool ¨ Develop Logical Data Models– performed with Erwin tool ¨ Develop Physical Data Models(DDL and Indexing) – performed with Erwin tool ¨ Define and make recommendations for Data Architecture as part of the Technical Architecture, Solution Architecture, and Security Architecture. - presentations Industry: ¨ Communications, Telecommunications experience required Key traits: ¨ Excellent communication and presentation skills ¨ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ¨ Customer service oriented ¨ Partnership and team player.
