We are currently looking to fill a ETL Quality Assurance Analyst for a long term contract (till 12/31) for a client, McKesson, in Broomfield, Colorado. The position description is below. The candidate must sit on site at McKesson. The client will hire off a phone screen if the candidate is not local.
MAX RATE IS: $40/hr ***Please only submit your TOP 2 Candidates**** Overview The ETL Quality Assurance Analyst role is responsible for the validation of data transfer and conversion processes used within McKesson. This includes data quality analysis of the information involved with the ETL processes (to ensure that defined expectations are met), as well as the requirements that drive the ETL code development. The ETL QA Analyst identifies risks and issues within the project and communicates those (as well as their potential impacts) to the project stakeholders to ensure that informed decisions can be made in a timely manner. Essential Duties * The primary responsibilities of the ETL QA Analyst are as follows: * Create the test plans and test cases necessary to validate all ETL and data-handling processes involved with a project. * Review requirements documentation throughout the project lifecycle, to identify risks and ensure that requirements are unambiguous, achievable, and testable. * Coordinate between development team and business analysts to ensure developed code meets business intentions and needs. * Attend and participate in design review meetings to ensure that best practice and established development standards are adhered to during individual projects. * Performs both positive and negative case testing on the ETL and data handling code produced for a project. * Performs analysis of incoming data (both internal and client provided) to verify that it meets defined standards and specifications. * Performs regression testing on database and ETL systems to ensure new modifications do not impact existing functionality. * Performs system testing to ensure new client / data compatibility within multi-client databases and ETL systems. * Reports on all identified risks, issues, and defects found during the course of the projects, to ensure timely correction / remediation. Additional Duties * The additional / supplementary responsibilities of the ETL QA Analyst are as follows: * Provides level of effort estimates and schedule updates to Project Managers, as well as proactively communicating foreseeable delays and risks whenever identified. * Tracks risks and issues logged between projects to identify areas for improvement within the ETL development process. Essential Qualifications * Extensive experience (4+ years minimum) / high proficiency in the following areas: * Test engineering (requirements analysis, test plan creation, defect logging) * High proficiency in formal communication (both verbal and written) to technical and non-technical professionals. * ETL Tool usage (Ascential DataStage, Informatica, etc). * Database development / testing, particularly SQL. * Experience logging test results into a test tracking system (Mercury Quality Center) * Moderate experience (2 - 4 years minimum) / advanced proficiency in the following areas: * Technical requirements analysis * Root cause analysis on development issues * Software development lifecycles and varying methodologies (RAD, Waterfall, etc) * Some experience (1-2 years minimum) / basic proficiency in the following areas: * Project management / prioritization * Business requirements analysis * Quality assurance evaluation of business processes * Other development technologies & systems (Java, Perl, SAS) Desirable Qualifications / Attributes * Experience in the following areas is desired, but not critical to successful performance of the job: * Health care / medical claims information experience Perl coding experience Thanks & Regards, Kiran Raj | Cigniti Inc.
