*Summary:***
Working under the direction of the Enterprise Computing Services section
within the Division of State Information Technology, candidate will develop
and deliver to DSIT a format agnostic Video Portal capable of handling the
demand of DSIT and state agency customers.
* *
*Specific Duties and Responsibilities*
· System will be developed on the LigHTTPD server platform residing
on DSIT’s Media01 server using PHP, Microsoft SQL database, html, extJS and
Flash. System must present videos in a flash format on a 1024 X 768 page
that works with IE 6+ and Firefox 2+.
· Portal will consist of the following 7 Modules:
o Core Application and Video Handling – Server Side scripts and video
management
o API for future website requirements and management
o Public Video Portal – Video showcase for DSIT and its customers
o DSIT Admin – provides for DSIT management of video and users
o Customer Admin – provides for customer management of video and
users
o DSIT Reporting Module – provides DSIT with utilization reporting
on video and user
o Customer Reporting Module – provides customers with utilization
reporting on video and user
· Assist with documentation and user instructions for use of portal
within web portal

*Time-frame: *Positions to begin effective on or about June 22, 2009; for
approximately 7 weeks.
*SKILLS REQUIRED:***
*Skills and Abilities that the Data Architect should possess include:***
- Extensive knowledge of PHP coding techniques
- Extensive knowledge of MS SQL to include the following:
- Advanced queries
- Administration
- Database design
- Database tuning for performance optimization
- Extensive knowledge of Video Encoding
- Extensive knowledge of HTML coding language
- Extensive knowledge of .net applications
- Extensive knowledge of both multicast and unicast (windows and flash)
Video Streaming
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Flash
- Networking and Network Security knowledge
- Ability to administer Microsoft servers
- Advanced knowledge of reporting techniques and design.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality results
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills (with
all levels of the organization) and a very good command of the English
language
- Ability to work with diverse groups and work within the team
environment
- Ability to communicate complex ideas and subjects accurately, clearly
and concisely
- Ability to transfer knowledge to developers and functional teams
- Proven organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to build and
maintain partnerships within different business units
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, complete important time
sensitive tasks, adapt quickly to last minute changes and manage multiple
projects
