Requirements
o 8+ years advanced UNIX administration experience on Solaris
8/10 and Linux operating systems in a complex enterprise level environment
including builds, tuning, security, storage considerations, performance,
recovery and business continuity.
o Advanced shell scripting experience
o Advanced VERITAS Volume Manager knowledge
o Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP addressing and routing
o Advanced understanding of SAN and NAS configuration and
management on UNIX operating systems
o Ability to work effectively with a geographically diverse team
as well as alone
Desired Skills
Expert shell scripting experience
Advanced Perl scripting knowledge
Advanced Python scripting knowledge
Expert VERTIAS Volume Manager knowledge
Solaris D-Trace knowledge
Excellent communication skills
Ability to operate effectively within a large organization
