Work closely with Developers, QA, and Product Managers to understand automation requirements and create reusable test automation scripts using QTP . Drive technical automation discussions across client server, web, and CICS mainframe platforms . Quickly convert manual test documents into reliable, repeatable and easily scalable automated tests . Represent test automation in product design and development meetings . Write efficient, easy to follow user guides and documentation on automation-related topics . Follow QA and test automation best practices ****** Required Skills: . Expert level QTP skills with 7+ years of experience in automation framework design and development . Extensive experience developing and managing automation frameworks in QTP and other scripting tools . Thorough understanding of HP's Quality Center and integration to automated QTP framework . Proven ability to drive a project's technical architecture, design, and implementation . Complete understanding of test data management, testing processes, and testing tools. . Capable of training others on automation strategies, procedures and creative ways to approach automation problems . Excellent written and verbal communication skills . Action oriented and takes initiative to go beyond what is required . Ability to analyze and solve problems creatively . Must be a quick learner with strong software troubleshooting abilities ****** Preferred Skills: . HP/Mercury certified in QTP . Financial Industry/brokerage knowledge a plus . Experience working with off-shore resources . Experience with a mainframe CICS environment a plus . Experience with Microsoft Silverlight a plus . B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering or related field is highly preferred .
