*Duration: 6 Months* *Position: Sr System Engineer * *Job Description:* - Primary responsibility will be to focus on non-project related general maintenance, troubleshooting and support activities for existing environments. - Tune, test, deploy, patch and maintain Web and Applications Services environments including planning for required capacity and growth. - Apply a broad understanding of system environments, databases and utilities in analyzing, developing, testing, debugging and implementing modifications to existing systems. - Identify and analyze system and application problems. Determine solutions; develop, test and implement fixes. - Participate in a 24x7 on-call pager rotation and off hours activities as necessary. *Team Information* Contract / Staff augmentation member of a Team having Engineering, Administrative and support responsibilities for Web Services, Middleware and Applications Frameworks environments. The position is a member of the Sub-Team of 8 people responsible for Web and Application Server Engineering. Primary responsibility will be supporting the Southwest Airlines WebLogic and Apache application Servers.
