Strong technical skills in .Net C#, MS SQLServer (2000,2005,2008), MS Reporting Services (is a plus), and MS Analysis services (is a plus) Initial: 1. --This (new) IT-Lead position will be expected to come in and assess our current web applications (they vary) for several client projects (partnering with the sector IT Manager), take on the day-to-day developer duties, and get these exisitng projects in a supportable state to turn over to a more junior developer audience. 2. --Initial development (actual coding) vs Lead responsibilities 90/10. Future : 1. --Oversee/mentor/coach that junior developer audience. 2. --Head up all new web-app development. 3. --Future development (actual coding) vs Lead responsibility 50/50 (actual coding could be even less as time goes on and junior developers gain more experience). Backgound skills: 1. --Technical expertise. Maintain a broad technical understanding of the teams project(s). The ability to communicate business ramifications of technical issues. Works with clients and team members by providing technical expertise. Needs a technical background and knows our business. 2. --Create reliable estimates for a new project and other project-related work. Works with project staff to maintain project scope and resource estimates, Good PM skills 3. --Directs/Coordinates the day to day activities of programming/technical staff. 4. Client Management. Works with client/project staff to set priorities (assists with Project Planning). Manage Resources; coordinate the work of a team: distribute assignments, plan future work, balance workload and deadlines. Project Manager coordinates work, Planning and Scheduling of resources and updates/ tracks resource availability & time Set priorities 5. --Creates/reviews system and programming/infrastructure designs - Code Review -Evaluate the work of team members. Design reviews, lesson learned meeting after major launches. 6. --Ensures systems follow IT standards. Ensure work processes, including QMS procedures, are in place and followed 7. --Involvement in recruiting new candidates 8. --Assists in IT staff evaluations (MCAPS) 9. --Outstanding problem solving skills, Problem Solver, Fire Fighter Solution oriented, able to evaluate situations and answer questions in a reasonable time. Minimum 5 to 7 years general web site design/development experience 2. Minimum 3 to 5 years Microsoft .Net (C#) Framework 2.0 or higher console and web experience, Ajax, JavaScript, MTML, XML, Web Security best practices (experience with Flash a plus) 3. Minimum 3 to 5 years software and database systems architecture/design experience 4. Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience with SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 database application development involving Transact-SQL, stored procedures, user-defined functions, and SQL 2000 DTS and SQL 2005/2008 SSIS. 5. Minimum 1 to 2 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 Reporting Services and Analysis Services a plus. 6. Minimum of 2 to 4 years experience leading/coaching/mentoring developers. 7. Technical team leadership skills. Includes working with internal and external stakeholders to continually identify, quantify, prioritize, and schedule ongoing support and new implementations project tasks. Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project scheduling/management tool(s) a plus.
