QA Project Manager
Location: Toronto, ON Duration: 6+ months Rate: $45/hr CAD Job Description - The QA Project Manager role will reside in the Build Tower and will report on a day-to-day basis to the Build Tower Lead. The build tower is also comprised of various teams which represent the various infrastructure technical domains for which infrastructure components are constructed. These domains include: . Server UNIX (specifically IBM AIX on IBM PSeries - p570 and p595 hardware) . Server Windows (including physical and VM Ware Environments on Dell 9000 hardware) . SAN Storage (IBM DS4800 and DS8300 SAN) . Backup / Restore (Symantec Netbackup for UNIX and Windows) . Network (Switches, Routers, and Load Balancing - Cisco Infrastructure) . Database (Oracle 10G / RAC + SQLServer for Windows) The main focus and area of responsibility for the QA Project Manager will be to audit and certify that all environments have been built according to the systems' designs and various enterprise standards that have been published. This includes but is not limited to the following: . Validate and document the engagement's many "As-Built" environments against the design specifications. . Develop a follow-up work plan and working with the Build team's domains to remediate any deviations from the specifications and design standards. . Develop an on-going scorecard for measuring the progress and quality of the audit / continuous improvement activities. Overall, the engagement is responsible for building all infrastructure environments (Develop, Test, and Production environments). The production environments incorporate many in-site failover capabilities, and DR capabilities that will fail over to a different site. We are also building QA, DR and Performance Test environments. The server platforms that we are building as part of the infrastructure is IBM AIX (P595 and P570) application servers, Oracle Database servers running on the AIX boxes, and Window VM ware or Blade servers based on the application needs.
