Job Category: Information Technology Job Title: Systems/Technical Support Start Date: 06/22/2009 End Date: 06/22/2010 Location: Middletown, NJ Project Name: VoiceTone Production labs Project Description: Perform network and server installation and technical support for 7X24 VoiceTone labs. Milestones: complete change requests and trouble tickets and ad hoc requests Job Description: Develop and support the testing of VoiceTone network services by setting up and configuring and testing network equipment in a production lab. Network equipment includes devices such as load balancing, Layer 2 switches, and firewalls Configure L2 switches and routers. Understand SNMP MIBS. Plan and design the physical rack layout for setting up network devices (e.g. L2 switches, load balancers, firewalls, web servers) in a lab. Physically install/deinstall and cable the network devices in the lab. Monitor and track physical lab space capacity, power, and environmental conditions. Configure network features on the device (e.g. logon authentication, SNMP, syslog, routing, VLAN membership on switches) Skills: Set up and configure IP network equipment (switches, firewalls, routers). Plan the physical floor and rack layout of server and network equipment and summarize electrical and environmental requirements. Network and server device installation and CAT5/6 cabling. Draw network diagrams using MS Visio. Formulate IP network addressing layouts using VLSM and CIDR notation. TCP/IP and IP LAN administration. Vendor accreditation such as Cisco CCNA or CCNP is desirable. Data Center operations experience.
