Location: Pay Rate $40 CAD Max Duration: 12 months Location: Toronto, Canada Start Date: July 6th Total Position: 10 I.T Business Analyst In this role, you will report directly to IT Manager and will act as a liaison between Business Systems Development and the different business units and users to analyze, specify and design business applications General Duties & Responsibilities . Work with functional business areas to review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs. . Work with IT to set priorities and deliverables on issues, development, and modifications to applications. . Provide support by ensuring stability of the applications, addressing and resolving business issues in a timely manner. . Work toward identifying, analyzing and recommending improvements to systems and processes. . Analyze, specify and assist in the design of all business applications. . Develop detailed business requirements and work with the Project teams and users to ensure all requirements are met. . Plan and manage user acceptance testing with the business and IT. . Training support of the business users to ensure effective and efficient use of systems. . Provides reference material by writing and maintaining user documentation procedures, processes and instructions. . Identify opportunities to enhance the systems or business process. Required knowledge / Experience / Skills: . Post Secondary education in Computer Science, Business or relevant discipline . 3-5 years experience in a Business Analyst role, with similar experience in supervising and coaching a small team . Knowledge of 3 tier Client/Server, Unix and Oracle environments . Strong communication skills and client facing skills . Experience with Business Process Management and documentation Strong Preferred Experience: . Retail background or experience is strongly preferred .
