The equivalent in directly related experience and self study may be substituted. Preferably, 3 - 5 years of experience in the cable industry field, or in another technical field EXPERIENCE: Familiarity with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures are desired, such as Testing or a Product QA environment. Work experience in Cable or an Engineering related field is also desirable. Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Cisco routers, Load Balancers, SAN and NAS disk arrays, testing tools such as IXIA, HP Quality Center, WinRunner/QTP, and LoadRunner, and a basic understanding of Scripting, and SQL databases would be preferred. Motorola DAC / Headend Experience and/or SA DNCS Headend Experience VOD Experience - SeaChange, Tandberg, etc. would be preferred Settop Boxes - Motorola, SA, Pace, Panasonic, etc. would be preferred. Cable Card, and Enhanced Programming Guide experience would be preferred Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio.
