The Sr. Designer will participate in all stages of the product development process and can work effectively supporting editorial design needs. Job Responsibilities: v Creates designs for new product features, & editorial infographics v Conceive and develop interactive features, graphics and templates (i.e. using Flash). Must be an excellent partner working with product managers, editors, developers v Bring strong creative, conceptual and problem-solving skills to translate conceptual ideas (business needs and user goals) into interaction and design solutions. v Assess data from multiple sources and synthesize it in order to develop efficient user scenarios and design patterns, v Create and effectively present UX deliverables to explain and negotiate design solutions to key stakeholders. Job Requirements: v Fluent in CSS, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, HTML. v Experience in creating quick functional mockups v Expert in actionscript/xml and building flash interactives v Knowledge of dhtml and css ; actionscript; xml; JScript (Ajax, jQuery) is a plus v Experience in a news media environment is a must. If candidate has experience in websites like Client;, IVillage or Martha Stewart, this is ok but would prefer must stronger experience on heavy content websites.
