The target environment is Client/Server using DB2 on the mainframe, as well as web interfaces where appropriate. This experienced person will need to work with a variety of DOT employees to analyze and design the necessary programs, translating business requirements into functioning Client/Server programs. Formulates and plan outlining steps required to develop program, using methodologies such as structured analysis and design or object-oriented development. Reads computer outputs to detect syntax or logic errors during program test, or uses diagnostic software to detect errors. Replaces, deletes, or modifies codes to correct errors. *Analyzes, reviews and alters CA-Gen programs* to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. Writes documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Assists users to solve operating problems.' This person must have 8 or more years of previous experience using Advantage Gen in an environment similar to DOTs. Good oral and written communication skills are required. This individual will be expected to work on-site at the Hill Farms Transportation office,4802 Sheboygan Ave, Madison, Wisconsin. A standard 40-hour workweek is expected.
