Project description [This area will be focused on designing/reviewing portfolio-wide application security models on its diverse technology platforms including Notes/Domino, .NET, and J2EE/Portal, on both an intranet and internet based hosting environments. Currently different security models are employed for different technologies and applications. The goal is to add comprehensive security features to all applications in the portfolio including authentication with single sign-on where possible and authorization. There are variety of security technologies used in the portfolio applications including: Active Directory, ADFS, and SiteMinder. Since some technologies are very costly it is imperative that we research, design and implement security features that match our requirements as they evolve and to satisfy security requirement mandated by the Firm security policies. In addition, this area will assist in providing guidance and expertise on efficient security implementations to application teams. Due to the diverse underlying technologies for applications in this Portfolio and the diverse security technologies implemented, this candidate should have a strong background in security principles, standards, protocol, and products as well as platform knowledge in .Net and ideally also in Java/J2EE, Portal, and Notes/Domino. In addition to the security responsibilities, the group is also expected to provide help in a more traditional Application Architectural role. ] 2.
