Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to function in an environment of 25+ databases both development and production running on HP-UX and LINUX servers. All aspects of database administration covering installation, upgrades, configuration, backup, recovery, security, performance. analysis and capacity planning for single instance, standby and RAC environments.Participates in the evaluation, design, implementation, maintenance, support, and enhancement of sophisticated database systems and technologies through use of internal policies, procedures, and standards Works closely with all members of IT to ensure successful application and database implementations Assisting in solving production problems in a timely manner, including off hours and weekend support when necessary. There will be a rotational on call support week including weekend maintenance as laid out by the Manager.Troubleshooting database and application errors, logging bugs with vendor support services, and working with vendor support services as well as IT team member to quickly resolve problems Installing, configuring and integrating third party applications and tools as needed Technical Skills: Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. 8+ years work experience as Oracle DBA Experience in Oracle 9i, 10g, 10g RAC must.Experiencewith performance monitoring and tuning.Proficientin SQL, PL/SQL, Dataguard, OEM / GRID CONTROL,RMAN.Experience with Linux and Unix environments; shell scripting preferred.OCP Certification Preferred. Mandatory Skills: Oracle RAC.
