Job title : ETL Developer Location : Berkeley Heights, NJ Contract Length : 4 Months Job Description: Requirements: * Ability to take a holistic view of the reportable data and find out how it will tie back to the source systems. * Ability to clearly define detailed Functional, Non-Functional and Data requirements for the ETL development and Testing activities based on business requirements. * Ability to work in partnership with Sr. Business System Analyst to define the Detailed Business & System Requirements. * Ability to create logical data model definitions based on the Business Rules produced and use cases therein. * Ability to develop source to target business rule mappings for the ETL development team. * Ability to articulate thoughts clearly in writing and during technical discussions and presentations. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the development team, management, business users, other IT systems owners and DA/DBA group. * Be a self-motivating individual and perform independently in a dynamic environment. * Be a strong Team Lead. * Should have Data modeler experience in a Data Warehouse project with Ab Initio and Cognos 8. * Project Experience with Commercial P&C with Workers Compensation claims is a big plus Responsibilities: * Perform Detail Data Analysis. * Work in partnership with Sr BSA for source Data Analysis; perform data profiling for in-depth analysis. * Identify Data requirements from the business requirements to prepare Source - Target mapping, data dictionary, and prepare Detailed Functional Specifications. * Design Conceptual Data model and SDD. * Assist the DBA in converting the logical model(s) to physical Map ETL requirements to specifications traceability. * Work in tandem with Business Analyst to prepare and validate Unit Test Cases and ensure data elements are being properly tested. * Work in partnership with Sr. Business Analyst to Manage testing - QA/UAT and NCCI Certification. * Create System and Integration Test Cases and Test Data. * Interact with the ETL development team and remove any knowledge gaps that might exist.
