VDH Project Coordinator
Local candidates strongly preferred. Valid driver’s license required.
Demonstrated experience in project coordination/management of successful
complex, long-term projects. Ability to communicate effectively (both orally
and in writing). Ability to determine feasible project objectives and
measures of success. Ability to write project plans, review and validate
information system project deliverables including system interface
specifications and database design documents. Ability to coordinate project
activities and communication among many project stakeholders. Ability to
monitor and report project budget, schedule, and scope status. Ability to
manage numerous concurrent and interrelated project tasks. Project
management experience as a team leader required. Experience with debit,
credit, or electronic benefits transfer retailer transaction processing
preferred. Demonstrated competency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
required. Demonstrated competency interpreting system design specifications
including Universal Modeling Language (UML) and Entity Relationship (ER)
diagrams is preferred. Prefer some coursework in information systems or
applications development. Ability to work independently and as part of a
team. Prefer some experience with Bachelor's degree in Information Systems,
Business/Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Independently works under the supervision of the Crossroads Project
Coordinator with a considerable degree of responsibility. Considerable
judgment and expertise is required to review and validate project
deliverables including project plans, information system design documents,
and system testing reports. Expertise is required to prepare and submit
project plans and status reports. Coordinates daily project activities
related to the planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of
the e-WIC system.

Question 1:
Does candidate have a clean driving record? You will need to provide a DMV
records check, in addition to the regular nationwide criminal background
check, if your candidate is offered the position.
Question 2:
Is candidate able to attend occasional JAD sessions in Roanoke? Rental car
to be provided by VDH.
Question 3:
Is candidate available for occasional overnight travel, up to one week in
duration, to WV, NC or AL? Airfare to AL will be covered by VDH. Hotel and
meals will be paid out of pocket then reimbursed by VDH.
