Attend design sessions, advise on best practices for maintaining and upgrading a Hyperion Planning System 9 infrastructure to ver11 . Trains technical staff on Essbase and infrastructure configuration. . Provide status on technical deliverables to Database Administrators and Release Manager. . Provide expertise on tuning and configuring application and databases (Essbase and Oracle) . Provide expertise on installing and configuring Hyperion Planning System 9 and 11 on both the web/application servers and the database servers . Provide expertise and knowledge transfer on proper maintenance procedures related to backup, restore, refresh, cloning, patching, upgrading, etc. Key Competencies: . Demonstrated experience in designing and tuning optimal Essbase configurations in Hyperion System 9 and 11 Planning, especially on primarily Solaris/Unix architecture. . Excellent written & oral communication skills Skills/Experience: . Hyperion Systems ver9 and ver11 Planning & Essbase . Source code control software (PVCS/CVS), as well as common issues tracking software like Remedy; MS Office. . Expertise in Essbase administration and server administration as it relates to Hyperion Planning System 9 and 11. . Expertise in performance management strategies for the Hyperion Essbase environment Anticipated Deliverables: Technical guides and related documentation for: . Installation and configuration of Hyperion Planning System 9 and 11, on primarily Solaris/Unix architecture. . Backup/Recovery of Hyperion Planning System 9 and 11 .
