Job Title: Business Analyst High Level Job Description: Responsible for analyzing the business needs of clients and stakeholders to help identify business problems and propose solutions. 6 - 8 Years of experience. Job Description: The Business Analyst will be responsible for working to help create / manage / and validate requirements for a database generated formula management system. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for the design and implementation of the functionality of the system working jointly with teams in Barrington, Valhalla, and Plano. Responsible for following/implementing all SDLC/PLM processes. Responsible for development of interfaces from/to multiple legacy systems. Responsible for the development of test scenarios / cases to help validate that the system meets the user expectations. Key Competencies: Communication . Assists in the facilitation of team and business partner meetings. . Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Functional requirements, Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, Screen and Interface designs) Technical Understanding . Possesses understanding in the areas of applications programming, database and system design. . Development experience with VB.NET and SQL query. . Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures. . Understands how legacy and web-based systems interface with each other. . Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs. . Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language. . Develop test scenarios and test cases based on business requirements /use cases Problem Solving . Identifies critical issues with ease. . Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems. . Pushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets. Analysis and Solution Definition . Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of client's organization and industry. . Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution. . Develops functional specifications and system design specifications.
