It would be the responsibility of the Contract Programmer/Analyst to work with both full-time employees and consultants assigned to the Fixed Income Research group. This position reports to a Project Leader. Technical Skills: 6+ years of in-depth experience with Java, J2EE, App/Web Servers Strong experience in design and development of JSP/Servelet/Web UI and Java/Swing based applications. Strong Database design skills and extensive experience with SQL and Stored Procedures (Oracle database experience will be a plus) Hand-on experience in Frameworks like Struts, Spring/Spring batch and Web Services Good exposure to messaging using Tibco, JMS Experience with the tools like Eclipse, Maven, Ant, JUnit, CVS Experience with UNIX scripting, autosys jobs and production support Strong “software engineering” mentality, thorough understanding of the principles of software development and coding standards Business Skills: The candidate should have knowledge of Fixed Income securities.
