Position: Unix Admin Location(State/city):Illinois IL/WAUKEGAN Duration: 6 months Start Date: 10/12/09 Responsibilities: · implementation of UNIX servers and the hardware/software to achieve project goals · working closely with project management, technical services and support group, external vendor partners, and the client to ensure a smooth implementation and transition · documentation and staff training on their aspect of the project. Qualifications: · Experience on Midrange Hardware running UNIX Operating Systems including IBM Power5/Power6 hardware running AIX. · Knowledgeable in partitioning, VIO and High Availability concepts and ability to implement the various vendors' software/solutions. Required experience: o HP and SUN hardware running HP-UX and Solaris Operating Systems o Enterprise Storage and fundamental networking / distributed computing concepts required. o Script writing in some administrative scripting language. Desired knowledge/skills: o SUSE and/or Red Hat Linux o Experience working with products on a variety of Open Systems o Experience providing support for large projects from requirements through implementation o Able to analyze, develop, and enhance engineering workflow processes. o Knowledgeable in Microsoft Project with the ability to create, modify and execute implementation plans. o Familiarity with networking technologies o Working knowledge of configuration of fiber-based tape and disk environments -- Regards, Gautam Thakuria _______________________________ SR.
