Job Title: Business Object Developer Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 6 months *******LOOKING FOR LOCAL CONSULTANTS ************** Job Description: we are looking for an expert Business Objects Developer for a contract role in Columbus, Ohio. This person will be responsible for converting data from specifications and problem statements to computer code to solve business or technology problems. The Developer works in a team environment to support programs in production and systems development. He or she is responsible for developing and updating programs that are defect free and meet or exceed service level performance metrics. Ideal candidates possess expert knowledge of systems development methodology and typically has between five and ten years of development experience. Candidates MUST HAVE experience with the following: * Business Objects Crystal Enterprise Version 10 + * Business Objects Info View Version XIR2+ * Business Objects Crystal Reports Designer Version 10 + * Business Objects Web Intelligence Version XIR2+ * Business Objects Universes Version XIR2+ * Business Objects Voyager (Desired not required) Responsible for end to end reporting development including: * Working with users and coordinating with application developers to understand and capture data/analysis/reporting requirements * Creating and documenting design specifications * Creating and documenting deliverable specifications with detailed database mapping * Develop BI deliverables using Web Intelligence, Universes, Voyager, and Crystal Reports * Support enhancements across multiple applications * Develop ad hoc reports on demand under aggressive timelines. Candidate must have strong analytical and data analysis skills. Responsible for providing guidance on design standards and best practices to other team members. Perform analysis, design, and document data access requirements. Strong knowledge and use of full lifecycle development methodologies, standards and procedures, strong development and analytical skills, proficiency in root cause data analysis, and ability to problem solve, ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple development teams across concurrent project tasks, resourceful and self starter with minimal hand holding required, exceptional team work and communication skills required. Tasks: Work with users to define and document system requirements. Assist with project-related activities, including the inception and definition of projects. Provide support for the Sr. Analysts and Project Managers through a variety of activities. Complete project tasks as assigned. Responsible for writing test cases/scripts and test execution. Testing may include application, network, system and user acceptance testing. Performs additional job duties as required.
