I would really like candidates that are local to the area. They need up to 7 good, solid mid-level developers who can take the specs that are given to them and go code. They don't need manager types who are going to complain and try to give direction. They just need solid developers who will do what is asked of them. The project is being coded in VB.NET. Clear communication skills are a must. Need people who can discuss technology without talking down to whoever they are speaking with. They also want to avoid "cold fish". Good energy is necessary. Rate needs to be around $35/hr. This is a 2-3 month project that could go longer. * Strong OO development skills * Web & Smart Client experience * Code generation experience * Comfortable with both C# and VB * Relational Database design and development (from the ground up) SQL 2005 * Strong analytic capabilities * Self-directed * Strong interpersonal communication skills They want to start interviewing as early as this afternoon. We will have someone tech them out. If they pass his technical screening, which he said will not be as tough as if he were bringing on a permanent employee, they will talk to the client as a formality to get a feel for personality.
