*REQUIREMENTS: * - Working independently within guidelines, responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing application and system implementation projects using a formal project management methodology. - Manage and monitor multiple projects by establishing project plans and objectives to ensure goal attainment within defined parameters. - Typically manages multiple projects of small to moderate size and risk concurrently. - Oversees the system development process. - Develops detailed plans and schedules, including goals, risks, and resource allocation. - Monitors project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule. - Assists in establishing and improving project management methodologies, procedures and policies. - Adheres to Project Management Office policies, procedures, and methodologies. - Maintain an excellent understanding of requirements determination, data organizational structures, testing approaches, report design and development, relevant health care issues and industry initiatives. - Coaches and mentors individuals on the project teams and provides feedback on performance to their leaders. - Develop communication methods for the discussion of analyses and recommendations with management. - Assist management with the implementation of solutions for identified problems/issues. - Act as a liaison between the Business Intelligence Center and assigned clients. - Oversees client/customer relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met. - Lead in the research and analysis of health care data to evaluate existing and potential trends/issues. - Participate in group/committee discussions and attend client meetings. - Identify and resolve challenges to fulfill key corporate objectives and respond to change management demands. - Provide expertise and guidance of health care data to unit and corporate staff as required. - Other duties may be assigned. *EDUCATION:* - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Health Care, Information Systems, Statistics or other related field is required; Master's degree preferred. *KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: * - Six (6) or more years of experience in related field required. - Excellent analytical, data management, planning, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills. - Excellent project management and consultative skills. - Ability to interface with employees at all levels including senior leadership. - Must be self-motivated and able to work independently within a team environment. - Highly proficient in data languages (i.e. SAS, SQL) and industry standard PC applications (i.e. Excel, Access). - Possess skills to perform as a team lead for specific projects and/or staff members. - Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job. - Positive attitude, responsibility, and work ethic. - Develop strong communication methods to communicate project updates to management. Routinely and clearly provide status reports to management. Catch potential issues early, bring them to the attention of management, resolve if possible, and escalate issues for resolution when needed. Assist management with the implementation of solutions for identified problems/issues. - Demonstrated ability to: - Take delivery leadership role for 3 or 4 significant project workstreams simultaneously. - Learn and make use of the project management documents available - Make certain that business requirements are clearly defined and understood, and formally agreed to by requestors - Oversee the work of others involved in the project, managing the deliverables themselves to time and budget, as well as working with the variety of personalities - Keep lines of communication to requestors open, following through with meetings and interim written results at the point of delivery of key milestones, and working with requestors Overcome any obstacles and manage any scope changes - Demonstrated ability to function in a leadership role in proactively work with others around the corporation, as well as with outside vendors, within a complex data environment. - Proven experience in using advanced analytic skills to make sense of data patterns within a study, as well as connecting these patterns with analytic findings from prior studies. - Demonstrated strength in taking complex findings and communicating them in such a way as to tell a clear and compelling story to senior leadership. *Imp:* *Below are additional requirements* for the below detailed Project Manager position. The manager is looking for someone with really good analytic skills, project management at a healthcare organization. He is not looking for an IT Project Manager. Some knowledge of how applications work is preferred. - healthcare industry is a must - great English-speaking skills - project manager, not a technical person, who can effectively take a project and run it from the beginning to end - speak to managers to clarify business requirements - gather the right people - communicate with SME's, technical folks, etc. - manage project plan in MS Project - stay on task and report out those who are not on task - communicate regularly with business requestor, technical people, customers, managers, etc. - Medicare Advantage experience is a plus! -- Explore the Possibilities!
