Job Title: Linux Engineer Location: Dublin, OH Duration: 6 Months ***********LOCAL CONSULTANTS ARE PREFREEED*********** Job Description: We need a solid Linux Engineer for a contract role in Dublin, Ohio. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for the implementation of Linux and UNIX servers and the necessary components (hardware/software) to achieve project goals. You'll work closely with project management, technical services and support group, external vendor partners, and the client to ensure a smooth implementation and transition. This candidate will also be responsible for the documentation and staff training on their aspect of the project. Skills required in: * Linux Enterprise OS * IBM AIX * IBM Power5/Power6 H/W Qualifications for this role include experience on Midrange Hardware running Linux and UNIX Operating Systems including Novell SuSE Linux Enterprise, IBM Power5/Power6 hardware running AIX and knowledge in VMware, scripting, disk partitioning, IBM VIO and High Availability concepts and ability to implement the various vendor's software/solutions. A prior work history involving running various Linux and UNIX Operating Systems is required, as is a familiarity with Enterprise Storage and fundamental networking / distributed computing concepts. He or she must be able to write scripts in some administrative scripting language and build and support Linux OS & H/W as requested by Projects. This person will receive, build, implement and transition to support servers needed for project.
