Global Sales TechCRM Project Lead *Location: NYC* *Duration: 12 months +* *Rate up to $70 per Hour * Job description: "Experienced Project Lead to build applications and components in Global Sales Technology CRM/Metrics team Global Sales Technology is responsible for technology across all Equity and FICC sales desks in the Securities Division globally. We are looking for a senior software engineer to join our CRM/Metrics team. The Application Project Lead will be responsible for working as a part of software development team on CRM and Revenue Reporting. The IT team is currently based in New York, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and India and all members of the team work closely with business users globally in eliciting end-user requirements all the way through to the analysis, design, implementation and rollout of new solutions. The team is closely aligned to the business units it supports having considerable interaction with front office Sales professionals, Sales Management and Technology teams. This is a hands-on role that will require independent work with users to gather requirements, lead and manage 6-10 developers working on web-based applications using Java based technologies. Principal Responsibilities Functional and Technical Analysis/Design: This being the primary activity would require working on one or more products through the product life cycle (30%) Project Management: Directly manage multiple simultaneous globally staffed projects producing MS project plans and status reporting (20%) Development: Hands-on application development (30%) Testing: Follow Test Driven Development guidelines to perform Functional QA testing and manage User Acceptance testing (10%) Production On Call Support: As a part of team rotation, perform 2nd level (24*7) production support (5%) Release Mgmt: As a team member would be supporting product releases on weekends couple of times every quarter. (5%) Experience And Skills Must have 5-7 years of application development experience with multi-tier architectures 3-4 years project management experience Experience working with industry leading application servers (Tomcat, Jboss) including JMS Proven ability to analyze and understand business requirements and build technical solutions to complex business problems Strong experience in Financial Services IT, proven ability to interact and build strong relationships with users Strong OO Analysis and Design Patterns experience Strong database skills, preferring experience with Sybase (12.5 / above) or DB2 (8.x/9.x) Solid experience with web technologies such as Struts, AJAX, CSS, JavaScript, JSPs.
