Job Classification: Application Systems Engineer
Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree plus 5-7 years
experience.
Candidate to have both Windows OS engineering and .NET C# development
experience. Will be accountable for planning, implementation, and
development for desktop hardware & software focused on the Retail
store environment. This will include but not limited to maintaining
changes in the Windows XP client platform; perform impact analysis of
software and configuration changes; assist with the development,
testing, and support of next generation Windows client platform
(Windows 7, WES) build and related applications; assist in the
maintenance and support of an Application Compatibility testing
environment and support pilot users; support development team as
needed. Experience with MDT, SCCM and WIM image technologies.
Candidate will assist in design and development of SharePoint Websites
and applications. Be responsible for the design, development, coding,
testing, debugging and documentation of support applications to
satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. This !
position may include hands-on new development as well as support,
maintenance, or enhancement of existing applications. Work closely
with client management to identify and specify complex business
requirements and processes. Research and evaluate alternative
solutions and make recommendations. Candidate is expected to
regularly communicate progress, issues, and risks to a Project Lead /
Manager. It is also preferred the candidate has experience in one or
more of the following areas: Retail banking technology, merger
integration, scripting, software distribution, and network
technologies.
