Title: COBOL Developer
Duration: 3+ Months
Location: Lynnfield, MA
Rate: $33/hr
Description:
Applicants must have 6+ years mainframe-programming (VSAM, CA7)
experience using COBOL and JCL. Applicant must have 2 + years
experience with Eztrieve, Applicant must have 2+ years experience with
HP Dialogue (Exstream) composition. Experience with Metavante CSF is
very desirable. Knowledge of print mail systems and print file
formats (AFP, Metacode, Postscript) is very desirable.
The individual in this position must be experienced in COBOL
programming on a mainframe platform and HP Dialogue (Exstream)
environment. Metavante CSF very desirable.
Demonstrate and possess a thorough understanding of all information
technology concepts including file handling concepts,
software/application development techniques, testing techniques.
Complete understanding of core technologies contained within the
business application systems the incumbent will support. Core
technologies include, but are not limited to software languages:
COBOL, JCL, CA7, Eztrieve, HP Dialogue. Readily adapts to new
technologies and practices in the work environment.
Contractor will be responsible for doing analysis, technical design,
coding, testing, and implementing the required software changes for
multiple projects.
Develops, maintains and supports software systems that supports
internal staff with day-to-day operations. Assist team with training
and documentation of existing processes.
Success Factors:

+ Must be self-reliant, self-starting and willing to involve corporate
staff when needed.
+ Must be organized, meticulous about coding and visual/interface
design standards.
+ Must have good communications skills and be able to relate technical
