Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree and 5+ years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Job Description: Provides expert technical support and consultation for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system. Conducts and coordinates the analysis, planning, and implementation of systems software and/or hardware. Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, debugs, maintains, modifies, and documents operating systems. Defines systems software and/or hardware requirements and determines system specifications and customizations. Participates in the design of subsystems and integration of total systems. Identifies and resolves complex systems problems. May direct the work of less experienced staff. Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs. Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of multi-variant factors. Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing. Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process.
