Within KP-IT Organization, the Strategic Technologies Technical Analyst - Intermediate bears primary responsibility for the analysis, design, development and testing of Cognos reports for business intelligence initiative at Kaiser Permanente. *REQUIRED SKILLS:* Candidate must have extensive background in Cognos Metric Designer/Studio along with development experience in Analysis Studio, Framework Manager, Report Studio and Query Studio. PeopleSoft EPM knowledge is required as EPM will be the data warehouse with GL, AP, PO, INV datamarts will be the source for all Cognos development work. Data warehousing fundamental knowledge is essential. · Must have strong Metric Studio and Designer development and implementation experience of atleast 2 to 4 years · Must have 4+ yrs of PeopleSoft FIN/SCM or any ERP domain experience · must have 4+ yrs of Framework Manager, Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Power Play Transformer · past experience planning and implementing a PS EPM Finance/SCM Data Warehousing solution centered on PeopleSoft's EPM suite is a huge plus · knowledge of PeopleSoft EPM best practice implementation guidelines · Healthcare Industry Experience, Extensive understanding in and experience working with PeopleSoft EPM’s MDW Data Models · Experience in full life-cycle of project development including Requirements, Design, Development, Testing, Rollout, Implementation, and Training · Must have a good understanding of dimensional database modeling along with strong SQL query writing experience. · Must have strong communication skills to work with business community. · The ideal candidate will perform a range of functions in the areas of technical design, development, deployment, and integration of the PeopleSoft EPM – Cognos Reports Customizations and/or PeopleSoft EPM BI solutions to solve financial performance management and reporting challenges. · Responsibilities may include Technical solution architecture development, proof of concept/prototype design, infrastructure requirements development, database design, architecture and administration, application development, testing and production support. · This person will be responsible primarily for Metric Studio development using Cognos 8.3/8.4. Knowledge of Framework Manager, Report Studio, Analysis Studio and Query Studio is a must. This person is also responsible to analyze functional specs, review functional and technical specs with business teams as well as provide guidance on future metric design and development.
