Need: Informatica Engineer position
Location: Milwaukee, WI { As per client specifications, ALL candidates
must be local to WI. In addition, a face-to-face interview will be
required.}
Duration: 1/11/10 - 12/31/10
Rate: $45/hr.
New and existing products are being developed for upcoming AFI
conversion; using and transforming real-time and batch client data
from the system. These new products will rely heavily on the
Informatica PowerCenter technology suite of data delivery and
transformation tools. Beyond the initial impetus of the AFI
conversion, these systems will also be offered to additional clients.
The Informatica Engineer will be responsible for system administration
of the PowerCenter suite of products, including
installation/upgrade/configuration/maintenance of the systems in a
high-availability environment.
Responsibilities:
1) Install/upgrade/configure/maintain Informatica PowerCenter(8.1/8.6)
instances on UNIX and Windows servers.
2) Maintain PowerCenter repositories in DB2 UDB, SQL Server and Oracle.
3) Perform monitoring, complex troubleshooting, incident root-cause
analysis and resolution.
4) Manage real-time data replication from DB2 z/oS to Oracle using
PowerExchange/PowerCenter.
5) Manage performance/availability/integrity of PowerCenter systems.
6) Support development teams in use of PowerCenter, including data
flow designs and feature set application.
7) ETL code deployment/migration.
Required skills:
1) In depth knowledge/experience of Informatica PowerCenter in
High-available environment.
2) Working knowledge of database environments (Oracle, DB2/UDB, SQL Server) .
3) Technical capability in Unix environment (AIX, Solaris, Linux) and
SHELL scripts.
4) Technical capability in Windows environment.
5) Working knowledge of PowerExchange CDC for DB2 z/os.
Desired skills:
1) Experience with PowerCenter grid and Informatica MetaData Manager.
2) Understanding of IBM's EBCDIC format.
3) Informatica development experience.
4) Oracle database adminsitration 10G/11G.
