Lauderdale, FL* DURATION: 3 MONTHS with extensions. ** NEED TO HAVE WORKED FOR A SOFTWARE DEVELOMENT COMPANY. Senior Software Development Engineer-Life Cycle Maintenance Team Designs and develops software for the client's suite of products. Troubleshoots and debugs software programs. *Primary Responsibilities:* As an LCM Software Developer you will isolate and correct customer reported defects in Citrix products. Superior debugging and problem solving skills are required. The fixes that you devise will be released to customers in the form of patches and service packs. The fixes will also be integrated into our future products. You will also be responsible for minor product enhancements typically with a development cycle of thirty days or less. Create and maintain software for the Citrix XenApp suite of products. May be involved in some or all phases of the software development and release cycle. These phases include research, conceptual planning, design, scheduling, coding, code reviews, troubleshooting and debugging, status reporting, packaging, installation, documentation, building, software maintenance and testing. Maintain a focus on customer requirements and project objectives while mitigating project and product risk. Responsible for mentoring junior engineers and leading team initiatives. Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment with limited supervision. *Experience: (list minimum # of years for each)* • Industry – 3+ years of software development experience. *Prior experience with shrink-wrap commercial software development required.* Prior experience with Life Cycle Maintenance desirable. • Technologies - Knowledge of object oriented software design • Platforms/Operating Systems - Understanding of operating system concepts and networking protocols. Knowledge and experience of operating system internals desirable. *• Languages - Strong C/C++ programming and debugging skills* Technical Skills: (describe the qualifications/performance results of a current high performer) • Development - Strong C/C++ • Design – Experience with object oriented software design. Expected to exercise sound technical judgment and minimize risk. • Debugging – Strong debugging and problem solving skills.
