We would like to hire a contractor / subject matter expert for 30-90 days that would come on site to work along side our developers, providing advice and technical leadership. *We are seeking a seasoned experienced Java Spring Contractor or subject matter expert with experience on Maven.* * * *Role & Responsibilities:* · Review our current ‘getting started’ document and standards. · Review the current state of our housing / judicial project. · Review our use and proposed use of Maven. · With contractor’s knowledge of best practices and experience, he would offer corrections to the three items reviewed above. · Contractor should attempt to work with existing framework but offer valuable advice and corrective actions if noted. If we are violating best practices he should inform us. · Contractor would begin development on small/medium project that needs to be completed for phase 1 (or 2). The contractor should attempt to make his project a model project, liberally using comments and headers. · Include several LU developers in the process of how and why making choices he / she is making with his project. This occurs in a several 1 or 2 hour training sessions. · Four of developers would all have a Spring project of their own. They would use the contractor as a go to resource for any and all question. The contractor’s first priority would be answering technical questions and offering advice. His second priority would be his project. · Potentially group the contractor with the 3 or 4 Java / Spring developers in a room. · Our developers would already be in the very early stage development projects. This will insure that the ‘training’ time of the onsite contractor will be maximized.
