Position: MySQL Developer Location: Suitland, MD Length: 12 months The consultant should be from MD, NH, MA, CT, DE, RI Position Description: The contractor will serve as the database application development subject matter expert on MySQL database. The Database Application Developer (DAD) will be responsible for developing shell scripts, stored procedures, on-the-fly web applications to develop ad-hoc tools for database administration, monitoring, backups and recovery, audit reports, etc. DAD must be proficient with Database Concepts in MySQL including backup and recovery strategies, import/export, startup/shutdown scripts, etc. DAD must also be aware of MySQL tools such as Enterprise Monitor, Replication Monitor, Workbench, Query Browser, etc. Functional Skills/Knowledge * Advanced knowledge of MySQL database and Shell scripting * Identify, evaluate, and make recommendations regarding MySQL tools that can potentially meet the database administration requirements and document missing capabilities. * Advanced set of database development skills including shell scripting, PL/SQL, MySQL Stored procedures * Ability to develop database administration scripts for performance monitoring, auditing, etc. * Familiar with performance metrics and tuning methodology for MySQL databases. * Experience with JAVA, PHP, JSP to develop ad-hoc reporting tools for capturing audit trails in MySQL * Strong written communication skills for documenting database standards, shell scripts, etc * Ability to exercise independent judgment Please send me your Updated Resume and these details ASAP: Full Name: Contact No: E-mail ID: Availability: Visa Status/Citizenship: Current Location: Rate: Please feel free to contact me for further information.
