Assignment period: 4-6 months
Location: Remote
Good general working knowledge of UNIX, including some working
knowledge of Linux.
- Extremely proficient with AIX 5.3/6.1 working in a pSeries environment.
This includes software maintenance as well as performance monitoring and
problem analysis/troubleshooting. Very knowledgeable with pSeries
virtualization concepts such as Virtual SCSI, Virtual Networking and the
Shared Processor pool. Very comfortable working with, supporting and
maintaining VIO servers including versions 1.5 and 2.1. A high-level
knowledge of NPIV also helpful.
- Strong knowledge of Hardware Management Consoles (HMC's) and able to
support and maintain for both POWER5 and POWER6 environments.
- Working knowledge of clustering solutions such as HACMP and GPFS
helpful.
- Ambitious and strong desire to learn new concepts
